Terms and Conditions

Your booking — the essentials

Booking and payment

Your place is reserved once we receive payment and send confirmation. Your offer shows the included services, times and meeting point.

If plans change

For lessons, cancellation at least two weeks ahead receives a full refund. After that we retain 30%; within 72 hours and for no-shows, payments are non-refundable. For equipment-only rentals, cancellation more than 72 hours ahead receives a full refund; later cancellation or a no-show receives half back.

Illness or injury

With medical documentation we discuss rescheduling or a full or partial refund for unused services, including at short notice. Partial booking changes are agreed individually.

If a lesson cannot take place

For unsafe weather, closure of necessary lifts or school cancellation, we seek a suitable alternative with you. If none is agreed, we refund the undelivered part.

During your stay

Arrive on time, follow your instructor and tell us promptly if something is wrong. Equipment damage caused through your fault is chargeable; normal wear is not.

Refunds

Approved refunds are normally initiated within three working days, or seven for complex cases. Card payments are refunded to the same card; bank processing may take additional time.

1. Service provider

Ski School George services are provided by Akbar 2 EOOD / „Акбар 2“ ЕООД, company registration number (UIC) 130984862. Registered office: 26A Mesta Street, Bansko, Bulgaria. Customer service address: 11 Polezhan Street, Bansko, Bulgaria. Telephone: +359 899 902 809. Bookings, cancellations and complaints: office@skischoolgeorge.com. Website: https://skischoolgeorge.com.

2. Scope

These terms cover enquiries, bookings, payments, ski and snowboard tuition, equipment rental, cancellations and complaints. The offer and booking confirmation specify the services, participants, dates, times and prices. Individual arrangements are confirmed in writing. These terms do not restrict mandatory consumer rights.

3. Services

We offer individual tuition, private groups, group lessons and ski and snowboard equipment rental. Additional services require express agreement. Availability, participant age and ability, and safety determine whether a service can be provided. Group tuition is normally for children aged 7 and above; suitable individual tuition or a private group is agreed for younger children.

4. Booking details

Before payment, customers receive the sport and lesson type, participants, dates, start time and duration, included equipment and rental period, final price, discounts, deposit, balance and payment deadline, meeting point and additional services. Bookings apply to the confirmed participants and services. Transfers or changes require agreement with the school.

5. What the price includes

Tuition includes an instructor and the agreed lessons. Unless expressly included, lift passes, equipment rental, transport, accommodation, meals, insurance and other extras are excluded. For combined bookings, tuition and equipment, their periods of use and complimentary items are specified in the offer.

6. Enquiries and confirmation

The form is an enquiry about availability and price, not a confirmed booking. The school checks availability and sends an offer. A booking is confirmed after the offer is accepted, the required payment is received and the school sends confirmation. Customers should check the details and promptly report errors. If the payment deadline has passed, availability must be checked again before a transfer.

7. Prices and discounts

The final price, including all mandatory taxes and charges, is shown before payment. Payments are in euros. The agreed price is not changed unilaterally for the confirmed services. Extras require separate agreement. A combined tuition and equipment discount applies when both services are used. If one is cancelled, the remaining service may be recalculated without the combined discount at the prices applicable when booked, with an itemised explanation and no double charging.

8. Deposit and full payment

Customers choose a deposit or full payment as offered. The standard deposit is EUR 100 per booking; where more than one instructor is required, EUR 100 per instructor, unless otherwise agreed. The deposit is part of the total price and is deducted from it. The balance and payment deadline are specified in the offer.

9. Payment methods

Bank transfer and other expressly agreed methods are accepted. Card payment is offered only when active and displayed for the booking. For bank transfers, include the booking reference and your name. A transfer instruction does not replace verification that funds have arrived. Card payment status is confirmed through the banking system. If the outcome is unclear, contact us before paying again. The appropriate payment or accounting document is provided.

10. Cancellation of tuition bookings

Send cancellations in writing to office@skischoolgeorge.com with your name, booking reference and services to be cancelled. For this contractual policy, the time of receipt is measured against the start of the first confirmed lesson, in Bulgarian local time. At least 14 days (336 hours) before the first lesson: 100% of the amount paid is refunded. Less than 14 days but more than 72 hours: 30% of the amount paid is retained and 70% refunded. Exactly 72 hours or less: the amount paid is non-refundable. Deductions are based on the amount actually paid, whether a deposit or full payment. This clause does not itself require payment of an unpaid balance after cancellation. This policy also applies to cancellation of an entire combined tuition and equipment package. Medical exceptions, complaints, school cancellations and mandatory statutory rights are dealt with separately.

11. Partial cancellations and changes

Cancellation of particular participants, days or services while retaining the rest of the booking is negotiated individually. Remaining services, revised price and any refund are confirmed in writing. Changes to dates, times, participants, sport or tuition depend on availability and school confirmation. A request is not in itself an accepted change. Cancelling only equipment within a combined package is a partial cancellation.

12. Lateness and no-shows

Allow time for equipment collection, passes, transport and queues. If the customer is late, the lesson ends at the original time unless otherwise agreed. Groups start on schedule; late joining must be agreed and safe. No-shows, voluntary early departure and lessons missed for reasons attributable to the customer are treated as cancellation within 72 hours: payments for those services are not refunded. This does not override the medical exception or rights relating to an undelivered or non-conforming service.

13. Illness and injury

Illness or injury supported by a document from a qualified doctor or medical institution is considered individually. The document should confirm inability to participate during the relevant period; unrelated medical information is unnecessary. By mutual agreement, unused services may be rescheduled or the amount paid for them refunded in full or in part. Notify the school as soon as possible. The arrangement is confirmed in writing. Services already provided are not refundable on this basis. This exception also applies within 72 hours and to equipment-only rentals. A document does not automatically entitle the customer to a refund of the whole booking.

14. Tuition

Lessons take place at the confirmed times and meeting point. Customers need suitable clothing, equipment and any necessary lift pass. Groups take account of age, ability, sport and safety. If actual ability differs from that stated, a suitable alternative is discussed. The instructor selects exercises and terrain to suit participants and conditions. No particular ability level or piste is guaranteed within a set number of lessons; progress also depends on individual ability and participation.

15. Safety and conduct

Customers must provide accurate participant information and relevant limitations, follow instructor and ski-area rules, use correctly adjusted equipment and not participate under the influence of alcohol or other substances affecting safety. Respectful conduct is required. Unsafe participation may be stopped, with the reason explained and recorded; financial consequences are assessed individually. The inherent risks of winter sports do not release the school from its own obligations.

16. Children

A parent, guardian or authorised adult makes the booking for a minor. A contact telephone number must be available during tuition. Children must be handed over and collected at the agreed place and time. Notify the school in advance if another authorised person will collect them. Tuition type and duration are adapted to the child. Lessons do not include childcare outside agreed hours or a kids club unless expressly agreed.

17. Equipment-only rentals

The equipment, rental period, location and exact collection and return times are agreed. For equipment-only bookings without tuition, cancellation more than 72 hours before agreed collection receives a full refund. At exactly 72 hours or less, or for a no-show, 50% of the amount paid is retained and 50% refunded. Medical exceptions and individually agreed partial cancellations remain applicable. Report defects or unsuitable sizing before use, use and store equipment carefully and do not alter safety settings yourself. Stop using equipment if unsafe and notify the school. Extensions and additional charges require prior agreement. Mandatory consumer rights remain unaffected.

18. Damage, breakage and loss

Customers are responsible for damage, breakage or loss caused through their fault, including misuse or failure to follow instructions. Repairable damage is charged at a substantiated repair cost. Irreparable damage or loss is assessed against actual equipment value, allowing for age and condition. Normal wear, pre-existing defects and damage for which the customer is not responsible are not charged. The school records the damage and explains the amount claimed.

19. Dissatisfaction and complaints

Tell your instructor or the school about a problem as soon as possible so that we can seek an on-site solution: a change of approach, another available instructor, another lesson or a financial arrangement. Requests are assessed against what was agreed, what was provided and the reason. Written complaints may be sent to office@skischoolgeorge.com with your name, booking reference, description and preferred remedy. Speaking on site is not a prerequisite for a complaint. Dissatisfaction alone does not automatically mean a full refund. Voluntary cancellation rules do not restrict rights concerning undelivered or non-conforming services.

20. Cancellation by the school

If the school cannot provide a confirmed lesson for a reason on its side, it informs the customer and offers a suitable replacement, time or date. If the customer does not accept, the amount paid for the undelivered part is refunded. For partially delivered bookings, delivered and undelivered services are calculated separately.

21. Weather and lift closures

Bad weather does not automatically cancel a lesson if it can safely take place. If dangerous conditions, closure of necessary lifts or lack of safe terrain make the agreed lesson impossible, the school offers a different time, date, location or suitable alternative service with the customer’s agreement. If no alternative is agreed, the amount paid for the undelivered part is refunded. These events are not voluntary customer cancellations and the non-refund rule within 72 hours does not apply.

22. Refunds

An itemised calculation of payments, deductions and the refund is provided. Refunds are normally initiated within 1–3 working days after the basis and amount are confirmed, or within 7 working days for more complex cases. Mandatory statutory deadlines are respected. Banks may take additional time to credit the account. Where a refund of a card payment is necessary, it will be made by a card transaction to the same card. Bank transfer payments are refunded by bank transfer after the necessary details are verified.

23. Personal data and payment records

Data is processed for enquiries, bookings, services, communications, payments and applicable obligations in accordance with the Privacy Policy. Necessary payment-system responses are retained in accordance with bank requirements and applicable rules. Medical documents are used to consider the relevant request; provide only necessary information.

24. Language and acceptance

The Bulgarian site presents Bulgarian terms and the English site English terms. Before continuing to payment, customers open the full text, reach its end and expressly tick “I have read and accept the Terms and Conditions”. The box is not preselected. Acceptance is linked to the booking, version, language, date and time. A copy of the accepted text is available to save and print. Closing without acceptance does not allow continuation to payment.

25. Versions and disputes

The version accepted for the booking applies. Later changes do not automatically amend existing agreements. We first seek to resolve disputes through direct communication, without restricting access to competent authorities or courts.
